Hassiem made his post-covid return to theater in the Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s production of Shoebox Picnic Road Side. This new play by Deneen Reynolds Scott was directed by Hamilton regional director, Tiffany Nichole Greene.

Right after the industry returned from its Covid hiatus, Hassiem had the opportunity to play James Adamu on CBS’s FBI Season 3! If you haven’t already, be sure to check out episode 314!

October 2020
Indie film, The Drummer, in which Hassiem has a supporting role, premiered at the Woodstock film festival. Two years ago, Hassiem booked this gig as his first job post-grad. The film is executive produced by, and stars, Danny Glover.

September 2020
Internationally acclaimed, PUSH Physical Theatre, brought Hassiem on as a guest artist to devise and film an original work titled: Race or You Know Me. This piece premiered at the 2020 Rochester Fringe Festival (digital due to Covid).

ZOOM! Hassiem’s first Zoom gig of the Covid-Era (I guess that’s what we’ll end up calling it…) Hassiem booked the role of Lucius in Play On Shakespeare’s online workshop of Timon of Athens, directed by Andy Wolk.

Hassiem made is NYC stage debut as Devon in Walt Whitman Bodyjolt. Written and directed by Alex Hare.

Less than 1 year post-grad, Hassiem landed a role in Lynn Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, SWEAT, at the Pioneer Theatre Company.

March 2019
Hassiem Made his TV debut on CBS’S Madam Secretary, episode #516, “The New Normal”, as Co-Pilot.

December 2018
Hassiem’s orginal piece, No Signal , which he wrote, directed, and starred in, premiered for one night only at the Clark Studio Theatre at Lincoln Center.

“The Bridge”…Hassiem’s first time applying his dance training to a professional concert show. Choreography by Natalia Roberts. Performed at The Tank NYC.

April 2018
Hassiem as Doker in August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. This would be his last performance pre-graduation.
